Application:
Biochemistry and biology both employ MES as a buffering agent. It is widely applied in different chromatography techniques, in fluorescence microscopy, to prepare culture medias, MES is suitable: for most toxicity studies, for the study of redox processes, as a non-coordinating buffer in solutions with metal ions.
