MOPS sodium salt is a zwitterionic morpholine buffer that is suitable for the pH range of 6.5-7.9. The buffering agent is frequently used in cell culture media, bacteria, yeast, and mammalian cells in biochemistry and molecular biology. Additionally, it is utilized in electrophoresis, chromatography, and RNA separation in agarose gels.
